'The Wall' was a compilation project created to show the process of all the work I created this semester in my Research Analysis & Process class. The class had 4 projects in total-
1. Learning a New Skill
3. 3 Posters
The last project, the book was where we were told to compile all our work, however I decided to create a wall.
All the work I created during the semester in that class was very much related to society, its constructs and ironies in life. The reason I chose a wall to represent my work is because a wall is an integral part of the streets. A wall has seen so much- people changing, buildings appearing and disappearing, cars going by, a wall holds so much information by itself. A wall also reflects duplicity. Reflecting that there are two sides to everything, and the layers present in our world.
I created the wall by first charting out the first project: New Skill, this is where I learned to skate and documented that. The skateboard then fuels the next project with was the Bibliography- I chose currency, that eventually formed into the Poster series: The Consumer Girls.
I've used notes, rough prints of previous projects, old books, maps, paint, pen, tissue to show my process during the semester. I thoroughly enjoyed this project and created a book out of the wall afterwards.
Here is a book I made to represent the wall
